BuyAtvsOnline never collects personally identifying information from users of our site unless the user explicitly and intentionally enters it, or attempts to violate our security measures. BuyAtvsOnline is the sole owner of the information collected on the web sites listed in the What is Covered Section above. BuyAtvsOnline offers users the ability to enter personally identifying information at several different points on our web site.
Create an Account (Sign-up)
To order BuyAtvsOnlines products, a user must first complete the create an account form. During sign-up a user is required to give contact information such as name, company name, address, email address, and phone number. We use this information to process the order, prepare product for shipping and to contact the user about products on our site for which he has expressed interest. In order to buy the BuyAtvsOnline products, users must provide a username and password.
In addition to personally identifying information, a user must provide payment information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for a one-time payment, and to fulfill customers orders. If we have trouble processing an order, personal information is used to contact the user.
User Payment Information
When users order a product for delivery, they must provide payment information. Payment information or complete credit card numbers are never stored by BuyAtvsOnline. Payment information submitted via the order form is split with the middle numbers being encrypted by MD5 technology. Payment information is used only once to send to our credit card processor, for the purposes of collecting payment for products delivered or to be delivered. We never make this information visible to anyone other than our credit card processor and never communicate it over a non-encrypted connection. The full credit card number is never seen by anyone inside our outside our company, once entered and submitted, except by the credit card processing companies for the purposes of authorizing, clearing and reversing charges to your credit card.
Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track users movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Session_Ids, IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information in our database, except as entered by the user during account creation. IP addresses entered during account creation time by the user are tied to personally identifiable information to enable our Web-based security scanning services.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the users computer tied to information about the user. We use only session cookies and do not use persistent cookies. A session cookie simply terminates once users close the browser.
Session cookies are used to track information about the session that helps us build a consistent user experience as the user moves from page to page in the web site. We store information in the cookie such as session ID, user personally identifying information, such as the internal account id, account settings, and information needed to generate a new page requested by the user. Session cookies containing personally identifiable information are created when a registered user logs in or completes the account creation process. The session cookie obtains the personally identifying information from the users account stored on our computers during the account creation process. Information that would allow others to obtain access to the user account is not stored in session cookies. Session cookies are terminated upon closure of the last browser window associated with the user session.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)
A clear GIF is an invisible image which can be used to capture session or user behavior information without the users knowledge or consent. We do not employ the use of Clear Gifs on our site.
Third Party Intermediaries
BuyAtvsOnline contracts with a third party to assist us in managing certain functions on our Web site, such as we use an outside shipping company to ship orders for any shippable products we may offer now or in the future, and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
